Sailsh Country

National Indigenous Peoples Day is celebrated annually on 21 June in Canada, coinciding with the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, which holds deep cultural and spiritual significance for many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities. In the United States, the month of November is recognized as National Native American Heritage Month, a time to honor the rich histories, diverse cultures, traditions, and contributions of American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian peoples.

The Coast Salish peoples are Indigenous to the Pacific Northwest Coast, with traditional territories spanning the west coasts of British Columbia, Washington, and Oregon.
